Tamara Alferoff - Certified facilitator of 'The Work'
'I have come to see that those things that appeared hurtful, wrong, and damaging in my life - parents' divorce, my own protracted divorce and separation from my children, illness, accidents, and even my father's suicide - viewed through the laser-precise lens of Inquiry, have truly become the source of the deepest realisations, understanding, and gifts to me.'

Elizabeth Daniels - Certified facilitator of 'The Work'
'For the thirty years prior to discovering The Work I had been researching and practicing a variety of holistic therapies and spiritual disciplines, always looking for ways to bring about both inner and outer healing both to myself and my clients. During this time I had not come close to experiencing the power of The Work to awaken understanding, open hearts and access the energy that brings about lasting change on all levels of being.'
Elizabeth began doing The Work in 2005, She continues facilitating workshops as well as working with couples and individual clients with whom she has worked through many issues affecting relationships, family issues, grief, job loss, abuse, money and addictions.
Who is Byron Katie? And what is The Work?
.
Byron Katie is an American woman who until her forties was living a life of desperation, depression, and rage.
In 1986, at the bottom of a ten-year fall into depression,
anger, and addiction, Byron Katie woke up one morning and realized
that all suffering comes from believing our thoughts. She realized
that when she believed her stressful thoughts, she suffered, but
that when she questioned them, she didn’t suffer, and that
this is true for every human being. Her simple but powerful method
of inquiry is called The Work.
The Work consists of four simple questions and a turnaround, which
is a way of experiencing the opposite of what you believe. When you
Work with a thought, you see around it to the choices beyond
suffering.
Katie has been bringing The Work to millions around the world for
more than twenty years. Her free public events, weekend workshops,
nine-day School for The Work, and 28-day residential Turnaround
House have brought freedom to people all over the world.
Byron Katie’s six books include the bestselling Loving
What Is, I Need Your Love—Is That True?, and A
Thousand Names for Joy. For more information, visit

A simple, elegant process to identify and inquire into those
thoughts that, when you believe them, cause you stress, suffering,
confusion and conflict.
Four questions and a Turnaround:
1. Is it true?
2. Can you absolutely know that it is true?
3. How do you react, what happens, when you
believe that thought?
4. Who would you be without that thought?
Turn the thought around.
Exmple: he hurt me. some possible turnarounds:
- To the Self (I hurt me)
- To the other (I hurt him)
- To the opposite (He didn't hurt me) or (He helped me)
Now for each turnaround, find a minmium of three specific, genuine examples of how the turnarounds are true for you.

Why would you see a facilitator?
If you are new to The Work, a facilitator can help you identify the beliefs and thoughts that cause your suffering as well as walking you through the questions and turnarounds, keeping your inquiry focused. It offers great support for you in establishing a regular practice, so that eventually the process comes to life, and you have a way to regain your clarity whenever a stressful thought or situation disturbs your peace of mind.
In addition, many people who have been doing The Work for a while find that working with a facilitator from time to time can help locate and unstick particularly persistent beliefs, bring fresh angles to the Four Questions and Turnarounds, and deepen your experience.
