Charming and Spacious Self Catering Farmhouse
So whether you’re visiting in the winter and all you want to do is to curl up on a sofa next to the fire, with a mug of hot chocolate and a good book, or in the summer when you can laze out by the lake with a glass of wine watching the spectacular sunset, everything you could possibly think of is provided.
Secluded from the busy world outside, you will be able to enjoy the restful, tranquillity of the rolling Devon countryside.

The Farmhouse
The Farmhouse can accommodate 21 adults, (includes a double sofa bed) + 2 children on z-beds + 2 babies in travel cots, perfect for those looking to hold a family get together or some time away with friends.
The house has 9 bedrooms, 3 large reception rooms and a big farm house kitchen with plenty of space. The beautiful, traditional features have been brought up to date with modern facilities to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible.
In additional to lots of indoor space, the farmhouse has a private back garden, with 2 hot tubs, a sauna, comfy sofas, tables and chairs and a large gas BBQ.
Just across the drive is an all weather tennis court, a lake for anyone who fancies a little fishing and a large games room with table tennis table, pool table and a dart board. There are lots of sofas for spectators and even more space, so no matter how large or varied you group is, there’s somewhere and something to keep everyone happy.
The Lounge
The Main Lounge has 3 huge, extremely comfy sofas facing the inglenook fireplace, which contains a large wood burning stove. The lounge has a 50″ HD flat screen TV, full Sky package & a DVD player.
The Snug
The Snug also has an inglenook fireplace containing a wood burning stove. It has a big comfy sofa and armchairs. This room is perfect for those in your party who might like a bit of quiet time or it can become a gaming or play room.
Logs and kindling for the stoves are provided… just ask if you run out!
The Dining Room
The dining room has 2 oak tables that seat 20. Table cloths, mats and candleabra are provided should you wish to use them. There are 2 sets of china and all manner of glasses for dinner parties including pastic ones for the littlies and flutes for Prosecco fans.
The dining room has a piano and a comfy sofa which looks out over the back garden. A stereo is provided with an aux cable for those dinner time playlists.
The Kitchen
The Farmhouse kitchen is light and airy with a warm welcoming feel. It has an oil fuelled Aga which is on from mid September to the end of March. We have a state of the art Rangemaster Excel which boasts a triple oven and a 5 ring induction hob.
The kitchen is exteremely well equipped and has everything from an apple corer to food processor. You will also find cake tins, baking trays, a food mixer and another stereo (with aux cable!).
The kitchen has a large table which seats 8 and 2 high chairs are provided for little ones. You’ll also find stair gates in the snug if you need them.
Bedrooms
All the bedrooms at Deer’s Leap have been dressed individually. Each single bed has 2 pillows, each double bed has 4. There are a mixture of feather pillows and hypoallergenic pillows throughout the house. Each bed has a feather and down quilt and all our linen is luxury cotton to ensure a good night’s sleep.
We provide a large, thick, fluffy bath towel and a hand towel for each guest. The bed arrangements are interchangeable allowing you to plan for your party’s needs. 3 of the bedrooms are en-suite and there are 3 additional bathrooms, so no queuing for the bathroom necessary. There’s pictures of each room below, and a handy floor plan detailing layout for the all important ‘who’s sleeping where’.
